The Rise of IoT conference in Cologne, Germany, is a cyclical event that brings together the largest representatives of the broader rail sector from across Europe. Rail operators, maintainers and rolling stock owners are all present, as well as representatives from the IT industry. The event bridges the physical and digital worlds, emphasizing solutions from the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and the digitization of the entire industry.
So we couldn’t miss being there, either! This is another year in a row that we’re covering the Rise of IoT and Big Data in Rail with a partnership.
This year’s edition will take place from 15.05 to 16.05 at the Maritim Hotel Köln. There will be 500 attendees and 30 exhibitors. Our experts attending the event, who implement projects under the Rail by Univio brand, are:
- Michael Sommer, Managing Director/Head of DACH
- Jędrzej Łapacz, Senior Rail Consultant
- Michał Duda, Solution Architect
We’ll be talking to conference participants about, among other topics, dedicated web applications that significantly facilitate the management of repairs and maintenance of railcars. We will also touch on topics from the area of Data Science, notably predictive maintenance based on machine learning. We will also talk about workshops on technology consulting dedicated to the rail industry.
The event’s organizer, Rotaia Media, provided not only presentation opportunities for exhibitors, but also a number of interesting lectures. The conference program covers the topics of emerging technologies such as digital twins, AI and innovative strategies in the maintenance and management of rail infrastructure. Speakers from leading rail companies such as Deutsche Bahn and Amtrak, Siemens, DB and ZF will share their knowledge on the use of IoT and Big Data to optimize efficiency, reliability and safety in rail transportation.
Admission to the conference is possible after purchasing tickets in advance through the organizer’s website. Join us! Visit us at stand #19!
