In the first quarter of 2020, the e-commerce sector recorded a significant rise in revenue as a result of the lockdown. Although this market will continue to develop, it is possible that customers will return to physical stores. Unity Group forecasts that in 2020, Polish e-commerce will reach a value in the range of 100-120 billion PLN, and its annual dynamics in the coming years will exceed 20 percent. (content in Polish)

Unity Group estimates that the value of online commerce in Poland may exceed record-breaking 100 billion PLN before the end of 2020. It is going to see year-on-year increase of at least 20% until 2025, according to Piotr Wrzalik, Unity Group’s managing partner. In January this year – before the coronavirus even spread, the value of the e-commerce industry was cautiously predicted to grow to 70 billion PLN in 2020. (content in Polish)

In April 2020, members of the Wrocław-based technology cluster ITCorner elected a new management board of the organisation. Grzegorz Rudno-Rudziński, managing partner in Unity Group, became its president. We are pleased to inform you that, at the beginning of March, our Krakow team moved to a new office, which is located on the 5th floor of the Principio building at Armii Krajowej 25! A team of 70 people from the Krakow branch of the Unity Group will work in 750 m2 of modern, comfortable space. We decided to change the office a year ago. Since then, the number of employees has doubled.

The year 2019 was a time of major changes, intensive development and hard work at Unity Group. We are also preparing for more new and exciting things – a change of location of both our Cracow and Wroclaw offices, as well as expansion into the new markets. We’re opening additional branches while planning 10% growth in hiring and 20% revenue growth. The sky is not the limit anymore!

Hyundai is a leader in the automotive sector and one of the highest-rated global brands. The Korean brand has been on the market for over half a century. Unity Group and Hyundai Motor Poland have been cooperating for four years, a fruitful period during which several large projects have been carried out. The companies have now decided to formally announce their relationship. Unity Group has just finalized another contract with Hyundai Motor Poland.

This year’s conference, organized for the first time with the ICAN Institute, the publisher of MIT Sloan Review Polska, is the consecutive sixth event (following the 5th edition of the Congress of E-commerce Directors) created to exchange experiences between brand representatives actively developing their sales on the Internet. For Unity Group it was a continuation of our mission of spreading awareness and knowledge about the digital transformation.

Unity Group organized programming training for girls in Switzerland. The workshop, organized by Kilchberg Parents’ Association and led by the Unity Group, began with a brief history of the women that helped shape the early years of information technology. For the 1st programming experience, we selected Scratch – an educational visual programming language designed to teach children the core programming concepts.

Currently we're focused on clients from Europe and North America. For this reason we've decided to extend our presence. At the beginning of September Unity Group opened a new office in Zurich. We are located at Bleicherweg 10, in the heart of the city and very close to Bahnhofstrasse – Zurich’s answer to New York’s 5th Avenue. We will run our European sales and marketing activities from Zurich and also meet here with our clients and partners.

Adapting a project to the requirements of GDPR-related regulations is a challenge faced by many IT system providers. We are particularly proud that our product received a positive recommendation! The audit concerned information security and was conducted on the basis of the rights of a personal data administrator under the GDPR regulation by the consulting company KPMG for VGP – reports Anna Gubernat, project manager at Unity Group.

We are proud to announce that we have joined the partner network of Spryker Systems, which offers a proprietary operating system, Spryker Commerce OS – a modern e-commerce platform based on micro-service architecture. According to the forecasts, the value of the e-commerce market in Poland is to increase from 17 to 25% in 2019. As it develops, online stores will grow in numbers – there are almost 23,000 business entities now.
