The Challenge

Since 1990, Poniks has been a respected manufacturer of hairdressing supplies and distributor of professional cosmetics. It supplies products to hairdressing wholesalers, who in turn supply thousands of hairdressing salons in Poland. Thanks to its extensive experience and carefully selected offer, the company offers a wide range of products, which includes more than 3,500 items.

The company’s goal was to streamline and modernize B2B sales. Salespeople needed a tool that would facilitate their field sales, automate most tasks, and help deepen business relationships. It was important to implement more efficient management of the thousands of products Ponik's has in its database, as well as integrate the new tools with the company's existing systems.

  • To meet the needs of its customers, Ponik's wanted to strengthen its online sales channel and enable its shoppers to buy conveniently around the clock.
  • It was crucial to implement functionalities that would streamline the sales team's work during both live meetings and remote work.
  • The platform had to be user-friendly in both desktop and mobile versions.
  • Ponik's also needed a convenient system to manage thousands of products and centralize product information in one place for accuracy and consistency.
  • The new sales platform needed to take into account and effectively integrate with other company systems to automatically exchange data.

The Solution

  • The first step was to analyze the customer's needs and find a solution that would meet the business requirements for both product management and sales.
  • We then implemented a pre-built ONe e-commerce business platform with a product management module and linked the new systems to the existing ones using the Unilinker tool.
  • The ONe e-commerce platform supports B2B sales, enabling salespeople to easily present products during meetings in the field, create customer accounts, and set individual terms and discounts. Poniks customers can place orders themselves on the platform 24/7 or request a representative to place an order for them.
  • ONe's EPIM module supports the creation of detailed product descriptions and product sheets, including SEO.
  • Both the ONe B2B platform, the product management module and the customer's existing systems (ERP and BaseLinker) are connected by an integration layer based on our proprietary Unilinker tool. As a result, data is automatically updated in the company’s systems without any performance degradation in the ERP or other systems.
