The Challenge

Bakalland is Poland’s leading producer and seller of dried fruits and nuts. Founded in 1991, the company has since continued developing and expanding its range of products. One example of this process was adding Delecta S.A. to the Bakalland group in 2015.

The client approached Univio as they needed to create a B2B platform to automate their sales and logistics processes.

  • Bakalland needed a platform for its business clients such as advertising agencies, schools, offices, sports facilities owners, shops, restaurants, hotels and vending companies.
  • The fragmented customer segmentation presented a challenge. It was necessary to add the possibility of adjusting the product range and prices to individual groups of clients after logging into the user account, based on information from the ERP system.
  • Another aim was to create a scalable system that could be further developed in the future.

The Solution

  • A B2B sales platform with all the requisite features was put in place using Magento Open Source technology.
  • The platform was integrated with ERP (SAP) using the Microsoft Biztalk bus and with an external Raben logistics system.
  • Clients are divided into groups to which individual price lists are assigned from the account level.
  • The system also enables the presentation of products tailored to the needs of specific customer segments.
  • It can also be used for the presentation and sale of products of various weights and with a number of different packaging options.
  • The integration with the Raben system made it possible to streamline and automate the logistic processes and the product shipment handling.
  • It is possible to fully control stock levels and to fulfill orders dividing them into a number of shipments according to product availability - immediately and on request.
  • In line with the customer's needs, the platform supports prepayments and trade credit depending on the model adopted for individual clients.
  • The payment process involving proforma invoices has been streamlined – clients can download invoices from the ERP system.
